Preparing for a Scan

Body Insight’s Body Composition Analysis uses a technology known as BIA (Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis). This test works by sending an extremely weak (and harmless) electrical current through your body. Your body’s total weight consists of various types of mass, like fat, muscle and lean tissue, bones, and water. Each of your body’s different types of masses conduct electricity in different ways. For example, the more muscle a person has, the more water their body can hold, and the greater the amount of water in the body, the easier it is for the electric current to pass through it. In terms of fat, the more fat in the body, the more resistance to the electric current. By measuring the electric resistance of some of these masses in your body – known medically and scientifically as “Bioelectrical Impedance” – the test is able to accurately measure what percentage of your total body weight is made up from fat, bone, muscle, and water. The Evolt360 is medical grade technology and currently the most advanced method of scanning and testing available. This means that preparation for the scan should be treated very seriously, similar to preparing for other medical scans, such as an MRI scan. Careful and compliant preparation is necessary in order to obtain the most reliable, accurate and consistent results. Additionally, this will help track your progress more accurately with follow-up scans.

Your Personalised Result Sheet

Scans take approximately 1-2 minutes to perform. You’ll receive a printout and we can give you a quick explanation of the results or you can refer to the reverse side of the scan for explanations there. You can also access your scans on the Evolt 360 Mobile App and track your progress with convenience and ease. To ensure consistency and accuracy between separate scanning sessions, make sure to prepare your body for the scan.

Highly intuitive, the Evolt Active App delivers the world’s first Artificial Intelligent Macronutrient Profile.
